Best pizza in Italy award won by Bar Mia in Bellevue Hill chef Enrico Sgarbossa

ITALY may be the home of pizza, but its best pizza maker works in Bellevue Hill.
Bar Mia chef Enrico Sgarbossa has taken home the title of Best Pizza in Italy, and he has the trophy to prove it.
The 26-year-old won the Italian category of the European pizza-making competition Giro Pizza Di Europe earlier this year.
Sgarbossa said there were two elements to making the perfect pizza.
“The dough is the most important thing and the quality of the ingredients,’’ he said.
“I use the best of the best of everything.”
